Instructions for ROM Editor (example for the VG30ET)
1. Copy ROM Editor from the CDROM by clicking the file rome.zip and then install it (NOTE THIS IS THE ENGLISH VERSION)
2. Copy ROM file (this is a 16K BIN file from a VG30ET ECCS unit) from the CDROM.
3.Copy Address file cr31_128_E.adr (this is the RB30E one but works with the RB30ET and VG30ET) from the CDROM.
4. In ROM EDITOR go to Setup then Are Crowded as Reading Address File
5. Select the address file cr31_128_E.adr
6. In ROM EDITOR go to File then Load then Load BIN
7. Select the ROM file VG30ET.bin
8. You shall see the following window and tabs (if you haven't got the English version then you probably cannot read it or it will appear as rubbish if you don't have Japanese character set installed)
9. The Hi Octane Fuel map and Hi Octnae Ignition maps are the ones you can modify these are the same as Low Octane for RB30
10. To view the map, Edit then Graph Editing then 3D Graph Editing
